INTERLOCKING PAVER CLEANING & POLYMERIC SAND JOINT REPLACEMENT:

  • Pressure wash the entire surface with a machine of +/- 3500 pounds of pressure
  • Once the area is dry and there is no chance of rain, apply polymeric sand over the entire surface according to your color selection.
  • Slowly sweep all the polymer sand into the joints
  • Pass the vibrating plate in a first pass and a second pass in a totally different direction
  • With the leaf blower, blow all excess sand onto the top of the pavers
  • Check Techniseal polymer sand level and repeat
  • 200 sq ft zone watering to stabilize polymer sand

Efflorescence is a natural phenomenon of whitish calcite formation on the surface of concrete products made from cement. During concrete manufacturing, several elements are used along with lime. This lime resurfaces once in contact with carbon dioxide in the air, which transforms into calcite. This is what is called efflorescence.
